Jean-Noël worked in the picturesque Ferme Saint Agricol from 1992 to 2002 before he and his family moved to Montbruns. Gary often visited this lovely village and very much enjoyed it.
The farm was mainly used for research, but Jean-Noel also set up a visitor centre and a small distillery, which created significant public interest: both tourists and media representatives frequently visited it.
In 1992, GY brought the first group to France and they stayed in Savoillan. On the very last day, Gary decided to go to Switzerland instead of going to Paris directly for the flight back. It was close, but they made it on time somehow. As Jean-Noel puts it: “Gary goes by feeling”, and once again he was right.
The visitor centre Jean-Noel had set up was getting more and more popular and it is right to say this is where Jean-Noel really started aromatherapy business. He produced essential oils of very high quality and sold them in aluminum bottles. His success is astonishing not just because of the quite rural location of Savoillan, but also because at that time, nobody really knew what aromatherapy was.
Unfortunately and although Gary Young really wanted to buy the farm, due to local politics and the building not being licensed for public use, JNL was eventually forced to leave the farm and with it all of his achievements.
Today, the farm is used for einkorn cultivation and processing.
